Six Groups of 3 creating a PSA for the two biggest threats to Egyptian monuments: tourism and water damage - Each PSA has three main scenes, one for each effect of the problem (i.e. tourism: sweat, graffiti, stealing) - Kids are free to choose the theme to their PSA (i.e. news report, national geographic, etc.) - 4 minute max - For water damage there only three "effects"; for tourism the students choose 3 of the available 6 "effects"
Day One - Introduce the project - Show good & bad examples - Read articles - Begin general planning
Day Two - Construct storyboard - Begin scripting - each member of the group needs to write the script for one of the three scenes - HW is to write scripts
Day Three - Begin filming
Day Four - Continue filming
Day Five - Wrap up filming - Begin editing
Day Six - Editing
Day Seven - Wrap up editing - Project should be done by the end of class - HW is reflection sheet that asks for solutions - individual standards & benchmarks assessed! (maybe done in class next day?)
Day Eight - Export videos & turn in - Watch videos!
